Ishaak Meeran is a member of Kalbian Hagerty’s legal team in the U.A.E.
Ishaak handles both litigation and transactional work for the firm in Abu Dhabi. He has represented clients from the United States and the Gulf Cooperation Council in litigation before the U.S. Federal courts and in private arbitrations. Ishaak’s litigation practice focuses on commercial disputes, fraud, government contracts and securities litigation. His transactional experience involves advising multi-national healthcare and architectural firms operating in the U.A.E.
Prior to joining Kalbian Hagerty, Ishaak worked for Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where his practice focused on securities laws, accountants’ liability, insurance issues, business tort and contract disputes. As an attorney in Philadelphia, Ishaak was actively involved in community activities through extensive pro bono work. Ishaak gained valuable hands-on litigation experience by successfully winning asylum for a Chinese Falun Gong refugee and assisted in the exoneration, on the basis of DNA evidence, of a convict, who served more than ten years in state prison.
